Upgrade for Enterprise, the B2B arm of edtech platform Upgrade, on Thursday said it is in talks with corporates to train over one lakh girls in information science, technology and governance roles.

This is as a part of its WISDOM (Girls in Science, Knowledge, Organizational Behavior and Governance) initiative.

The initiative will allow organizations to reinforce gender diversity in these areas, which are sometimes seen as male dominated, a declaration noted.

“We currently have 23.3 per cent girls within the office, compared to 42.7 per cent girls 20 years ago. This is worrying in the context of the Indian company ecosystem.

“As a part of our ‘Wisdom’ initiative, we intend to create holistic learning for our girl colleagues, combining the experience of our knowledge and tender abilities,” said Minaxi Indra, Enterprise President.

He said that the imaginative and presentation empowering girls professionals not only to thrive, but also bring success to their organisations.

UpGrad for Enterprise has designed three bucket women centric programs with a focus on young professionals, center administration and enterprise leaders.

This program can be a great addition to information, technology, administration and behavior programs, it noted.

upGrad offers over 100 programs in collaboration with international universities such as Duke Company Schooling (US), Michigan State College (US), Liverpool John Moores College (UK), Deakin Enterprise Faculty (Australia), Swiss Faculty of Enterprise Administration (Geneva) offers. IIT Madras (India), IIM Kozhikode (India), and others.

As of 2015, EdTech Main has impacted over 1 million completed registered learners in over 50 international locations.
